The New York Times is an industry leader in visual journalism with reporting that includes extraordinary news coverage, investigations, and culture and lifestyle reporting. The Reporter Video team identifies compelling stories and brings the depth and breadth of our news report onto our site and other platforms through video that features the expertise of our world-class journalists. This is a role for someone who wants to produce, edit and publish short-form vertical videos daily. You are also versatile enough to work on news, features, enterprise and investigative projects with colleagues across the newsroom. You have expertise in video storytelling, including video editing, writing for narration and social copy, photo editing, design and graphics. Your portfolio and work samples should reveal a grasp of modern mobile video storytelling, and it should show that you are a quick learner with creative ideas and the ability to work on small or large teams. You are technical and innovative and have a strong judgment of the news. We are looking for someone who excels at deadline-driven work and has experience working on multiple projects at any given time. Cinematography skills are an added asset. You will report to a Senior Executive Producer.
