In this lesson we’ll take a look at the interface of the Switcher Studio app. The app is designed to be very user friendly and you can do almost anything in the app with just a few taps. We’ll look at the the output viewer, the main control screen, how to manage manual settings, where you’ll connect Switcher Studio to your platform of choice and more options included in the app.

When you first open the app you will be prompted to create an account. Once you create one you can now select between use as switcher or share this device. Selected use as switcher. You will be taken to the main switcher interface. 

 

This is the main control room screen. Here you will control your live stream. In the area at the top t of the screen is your output. 

 

This is what your are streaming. 

 

Below is the asset area.

 

Here you will find all the different assets that you can use during your live stream. Right now the only input is the device’s camera and that is selected as indicated by the red outline. Whatever is selected in red is what will be in the output window. 

 

Above the output window is your audio meter. You can turn off the microphone on your phone or any asset using the mute icon. You can change your camera using the camera icon. 

 

Below the asset area you can change the icon size of your assets using the size slider. You can add new assets using the plus icon, and select multiple assets to group, rename, or delete by tapping select.

 

Below that you can change the window below output window. Right now the star is highlighted showing that we are on the control room. If you tap the camera icon you can manage different camera inputs. Next is the platforms page where you’ll set up your stream and connect it your platform of choice. Next is the transition window where you can change the transition as you change between cameras and other assets. Next are options for manual settings for your camera, followed by audio input settings, Auto switch for your camera angles, and you can also customize what appears on the bottom bar.
