EmailHuwei announced at Mobile World Conference 2017 (MWC) a new phone with camera lenses from Leica that hopes to challenge the iPhone for domination in the mobile photo and video world.
You will be forgiven if you have never heard of Huwei, a phone manufacturer in China, but they want you to know who they are now. The new phone, The P10, has a large 5.1 HD screen, but the real feature to be impressed by is the camera. The phone has front-facing and rear-facing lenses, both shoot in HD. The rear-facing lens, developed by Leica, boasts a huge 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and 8-megapixel Leica front camera.

The idea of news is really a 19th-century phenomenon, driven first by newspapers, and then by electronic media which brought us radio, then TV and now the web. Now, it seems, we are headed back to a world without news. Not because the technology is not there, but rather because, increasingly, people are no longer interested in news, at least in the way it is packaged now.
