No Film School: Vimeo Introduces Adobe Premiere Pro CC Integration

Vimeo has introduced direct uploading for Adobe Premiere Pro CC. No longer do you have to export, upload and wait for encoding, just downoad the plug-in from Vimeo and you can do it all in one step. Just sign into your Vimeo account and you can export directly to the site.

Last month, Vimeo added review pages for PRO and Business accounts, aimed to be an entirely internal review system to compete with Frame.io and Wipster (which integrated with Vimeo last year). Now Vimeo has taken a page out of the Frame.io playbook, integrating the tools directly into Premiere so you ostensibly never have to leave your NLE. The new panel also lets you control privacy settings, check allotted Vimeo storage, and customize your bitrate, codec and resolution settings from within Premiere.

This morning, I went out early to buy my copy of the weekend FT — a great newspaper, by the way. I was a bit surprised to see that my regular newsstand, on 6th Avenue and 55th Street, had exactly 3 newspapers for sale — one copy of Baron’s and two copies of The New York Post. That was it. No FT, no NY Times, no Washington Post, no… nothing.
