Spindletop: Where the Black Gold of TV and Video is Buried

In 1900, there were only a few thousand cars in all of the US and most of them were either steam or electric.

No one wanted to invest in a gasoline powered internal combustion engine because no one thought there was much oil in the world. The little bit that had been drilled in Pennsylvania and Ohio was expected to run out soon.

Then, in 1900, one man belived there was oil under Texas. Everyone thought he was crazy.. until he hit the world's biggest oil strike at Spindletop.

That changed the oil business forever.

Today, there's a vast reservoir of video waiting to be 'struck' and that too will change the media business forever.
