National Geographic photographer turned videographer (and graduate of one of our Video Bootcamps (!) Bob Krist sent me this - a movie made with the back up camera from a Toyota Prius.

Bob suggested I get ahead of the trend and write another book, this one entitled Prius Camera Millionaire.

Alas, no sooner had I started to work with the idea than a few of the hard-line professional cameramen at B-roll.net began to post complaints that the Prius Back Up Camera was a toy, and that REAL filmmakers only use the backup cameras on the Mercedes E Class. In fact, by backing the Prius Cameras I was degrading the entire film industry.

Actually, the whole thing is a parody, produced by Andrew Heder and Ryan Kelly.  While this may be a parody, Lisa has come up with a great idea.  We are using the security cameras in the local minimart to produce a killer reality show.

This morning, I went out early to buy my copy of the weekend FT — a great newspaper, by the way. I was a bit surprised to see that my regular newsstand, on 6th Avenue and 55th Street, had exactly 3 newspapers for sale — one copy of Baron’s and two copies of The New York Post. That was it. No FT, no NY Times, no Washington Post, no… nothing.
