New Gear: SanDisk iXpand Flashdrive for iPhone

One of the biggest issues with using your phone to produce video is the amount of memory your phone has. It can be very frustrating to be out on a shoot and run out of space on your phone and have to scramble by copying media to your computer (if you have it), or deleting all your apps. Now, SanDisk has created a flashdrive that can connect to your phone and make storing and transfering media much simpler.

Now, it seems, we are headed back to a world without news. When television was invented in the 1930s, no one knew what TV news was supposed to look like. The medium had never existed before, and so, like Gutenberg half a millennium, prior, the first creators of TV news had to fall back on a medium with which they were familiar, and that was radio.


Maybe scary stories drive ratings… or maybe they don’t.
